The Next Trip 2007 Santa's Shiai Qualifications: The trip will be for the Junior Team only. There will be no Senior competition at this event. NOTE: A seperate trip will be scheduled for Senior Team only later in the year. Everyone on the point roster (as well as others in Ohio) are encouraged to participate. Partial funding will be given to the top player in each OJI team division who actually competes at Santa's. Coordination with the Director of Development (Janice Scherer) and participation in the Team Activities is required to receive the partial funding. Points obtained at the 2007 Rock & Roll Classic (Cleveland, OH) will be added to the current points roster (2007 OJI Junior and Senior State Championships) to determine Team members. The roster to determine each trip participants is set 45 days prior to the scheduled trip event. 2008 Trips & Related Program Activities At a previous meeting of the Board of Directors of OJI several modifications were proposed for the Travel Team Program. It was anticipated that the program activities should be set for the full year to allow better planning. A special e-mail newsletter to all Point Players is planned to keep everyone more fully informed as well as additional postings on this web site. An ad hoc committee is being set to review the program in detail and make suggestions to the Board of Directors for possible implementation. Santa's Shiai (Dec 07- Fond du Lac, WI) was approved for the Junior Team and the East Coast Champs (Aug 08 - Washington DC area) was approved for both Junior and Senior OJI Travel Teams. An additional event will be selected for the Senior Team to take place in 2008.
Team Workouts Team workouts will be scheduled by the coaching staff and a schedule of workouts will be posted here as soon as they are set.
