Midwest Collegiate Judo Conference Formed

2/21/98 -  Representatives from college judo programs in Michigan, Indiana and Ohio met last night (Friday) at the Holiday Inn in Springfield, Ohio to re-establish a collegiate judo organization and championships. the new organization is the "Midwest Collegiate Judo Conference" and membership is open to 4 year colleges in Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin and Illinois.  The 1998 MCJC Championships are scheduled for April 18th at Purdue University (Indiana).  A Fall/Winter season will feature a series of "Quad Meets" leading up to the annual MCJC Championships to be held in late Feb. in preparation for the annual National Collegiate Championships.
